A Swedish day in Dala Floda

We had the most gorgeous day yesterday for our Seaberg garden party cafe!!! We invited anyone to make a reservation to sit in our garden backyard and enjoy some Scandinavian delights, these photos are taken in Sweden....then make a contribution to our trip to Israel in September. Our menu included Swedish coffee, sparkling pear and raspberry juice, Swedish pancakes, an array of Danish open face sandwiches, and a special pastry with cream custard and berries for desert.

We were trying to re-inact a lovely day in Dala Floda Sweden in 2005 when we happened upon a rural museum and cafe garden. During the hours we lingered there, not another soul came around, and we relished the vibrants colors and beautiful food creations set before us. It was a heavenly date.

So...it was such a perfect day....cool, breezy, sunny. And then to make it so Swedish, we had a brief rainstorm before the sun returned. Just a few people at each hourly seating made for a relaxing time. All three Seaberg girls were not able to attend...Anna lives in Milwaukee, Stina was sick with Strep throat and Britta was with our Miller friends in Atlanta. So Penny had to be the main waitress.

Flowers in blue vases on each table. China cups and saucers. Pitchers of cream and lingonberries and maple syrup. Guests eating happily with contented faces. How wonderful it is to see those happy friends being blessed....and therefore we are blessed!

A beautiful day, no doubt. How we wish we could have been there to taste and experience...Mmmmm!
