It really freaked me out! We didn't know how long the tunnel was before entering it. But right away I could see it was black with no end in sight. What other choice but to move ahead?
We hadn't brought our bike lights. Didn't expect this. Eric went first.
"Don't go so fast! Wait! Ahhhh, please go slower!" I was frantic as we entered the increasing darkness. Just hearing the sound of his walking and seeing a vague shadow of a man ahead gave me the courage I needed.
But then the light appeared as we came round the gentle corner, far in the distance. Follow the leader and keep moving ahead.
