Warm for Thanksgiving

Britta and I drove to Georgia for Thanksgiving to visit our "M" friends.  It was at the height of fall and 75 degrees!   After a good night sleep we awoke to thanksgiving preparations in full swing!  The house swelled with smells of turkey.  Bubbah Brian buzzed around the kitchen like a PRO.

Everyone signed up for preparation jobs by the organized Momma Kirsten.

The festive atmosphere and lovely day made for many smiles!

Everyone added their part!

With table set, food prepared and our thankful notes written and deposited in a pretty bowl, we were ready to enjoy the amazing meal!

Our hearts and bellies swelled with gratitude.  I did think of Eric and the family gathered at home......a little.  Then we read our notes of thanks and laughed heartily as we sang songs to match(for 45 minutes!)

Later, we walked on the amazing paved trails that course this city.

We made Lucia buns, soft, moist and the yellow-ist ever!

On Saturday a four mile hike was enjoyed by most of us on a lovely hilly path near Warm Springs.

On Sunday Britta and I put in a 14 hour day traveling home......a relishing many sweet moments and receiving it all as a grand kiss of love!
